Bobby grew
up in the suburbs of the San Gabriel Valley,
east of Los Angeles where he spent his time
playing organized youth sports and street
hockey. He went to a Marine Science Magnet
High School in San Pedro, California because
he knew, since childhood, that
the sciences were his passion in life.
Right after high school, Bobby wasted no
time and enrolled in a 4-year university
and earned his Bachelor's Degree, in half
a decade, in Earth Systems Science and Policy
from California State University, Monterey
Bay.
After deciding that teaching was the career
for him, Bobby moved to San Diego to earn
his teaching credential from Cal State
San Marcos. However, after hearing the
call of the Central Coast, Bobby came back
to Monterey to work for the RISE program.
Bobby's life-long passion for learning,
especially his undying curiosity for the
sciences, led him to his current position
with the RISE program. He
loves sharing his enthusiasm for learning
with others, and hopes to inspire students
to experience the sciences like he has.
In his free time, Bobby enjoys
playing his collection of guitars, writing
music, playing with his band, and enjoying
the company of friends. He hopes to one
day win the Teacher
of the Year award and a Grammy
award in the same year.
